A non-profit foundation (legally, Fundación para la Innovación Digital Soberana) serving the public interest through digital education, science, research, digital culture and the protection of rights in digital environments.
Training, applied research and open tools for individuals, civil-society organisations, schools and public institutions. Because technology is the means; people are the end.
Behind every app there are minerals, energy, cables and knowledge. Understanding that base helps us make better choices.
We help people and organisations learn to use, adapt and repair their devices, and decide how they are managed.
We promote interoperable systems, so switching providers doesn’t mean losing your data or starting from scratch.
Clear records of processes, data and decisions. What can be reviewed can be corrected, and that builds trust.
Software, guides and documentation under free licences that anyone can read, use and improve.
Privacy built in from the start, and artificial intelligence used as support, always with human oversight.
All of this matters only if more people can understand, create and take part.
